Position 1
(Senior) General Affairs Coordinator
The title of Senior General Affairs Coordinator or General Affairs Coordinator will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
LOCATION: Shenzhen, China
SALARY: Highly competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the salary system of GTSI.
JOB PURPOSE: Assist GTSI leadership with comprehensive administration of the institute. Serve as the custodian for institutional records inventory and databases. Contribute to the preparation of reports, proposals, briefings, presentations, and responses pertaining to GTSI administrative matters.
IMPACT & INFLUENCE: This position will interact on a consistent basis with: GTSI leadership, faculty, staff, government agencies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Serve as a liaison with various institute offices in support of the overall GTSI operations.
•Prepare and present summary information and briefing documents to senior management.
•Support senior management in the management of official correspondence and communications including letters, emails, speeches, presentations and acknowledgments.
•Maintain and update databases regarding institute records storage and retrieval.
•Carefully organize and maintain confidential documents.
•Collaborate with legal counsel and institute offices to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, laws and regulations of importance to GTSI.
•Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Position 2
(Assistant) Research Program Manager
The title of Research Program Manager or Assistant Research Program Manager will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
LOCATION: Shenzhen, China

JOB PURPOSE: Plan and manage the administrative support for research programs and projects. Includes supervision of program/project related financial accounting and reporting, coordination of proposal preparation and submissions.
IMPACT & INFLUENCE: This position will interact on a consistent basis with: national, provincial and local government agencies, companies, institutions, faculty, research scientists and research engineers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Participate in the drafting and implementation of the annual GTSI research plan.
•Establish and implement administrative policies, procedures and guidelines applicable to research projects, including but not limited to: research deliverable management, grant funding management, and intellectual property management.
•Organize and assist GTSI research teams to actively apply for vertical research projects at the national, provincial and municipal levels, and promote horizontal research cooperation between GTSI and industry.
•Identify funding sources. Advise faculty on budget development, financial scenario and strategic planning, and financial forecasting in response to grant solicitations and requests for proposals.
•Coordinate funding agency site visits and review response reports.
•Liaison with financial staff regarding program budgets, expenses, inventory, etc.
•Monitor and coordinate the preparation of research project reports.
•Manage periodic critical reviews of funded research projects.

Position 3
Campus Services Coordinator I
LOCATION: Shenzhen, China

JOB PURPOSE: Coordinate the operation of GTSI campus services. Ensure that the material and service requirements of GTSI are met in a timely, efficient, effective and ethical manner. Demonstrate professional, amicable, efficient image to guests and visitors.
IMPACT & INFLUENCE: This position will interact on a consistent basis with: faculty, staff, students, visitors, vendors, and property management company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Manage reception area or front desk.
•Serve as a resource for all faculty, staff and guests visiting the assigned office and provide assistance as needed.
•Coordinate events to include facilities reservation, set-up, catering arrangement, parking, security, etc.
•Coordinate repair and maintenance service requests between institute personnel and property management company.
•Order, distribute, and stock supplies.
•Work with campus vendors to ensure delivery of quality products and services.

Campus Services Coordinator II

JOB PURPOSE: Coordinate the operation of GTSI campus services and campus security. Ensure that the service requirements of GTSI are met in a timely, efficient, effective and ethical manner. Ensure environmental safety, fire protection, food safety and laboratory safety for the campus community.
IMPACT & INFLUENCE: This position will interact on a consistent basis with:
faculty, staff, students, visitors, vendors, and property management company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Work with property management company to ensure successful campus operations.
•Coordinate campus dining services.
•Work with vendors to ensure delivery of quality products and services.
•Participate in the development of policies and procedures to ensure campus safety, including environmental safety, fire protection, food safety, laboratory safety, etc.
•Monitor and maintain campus safety practices.

Academic Program Coordinator

JOB PURPOSE: Provide administrative and logistical support to students and academic programs. Serve as an information source in such areas as policies, procedures, activities and programs involving campus life.
IMPACT& INFLUENCE: This position will interact on a consistent basis with: students, parents, staff and vendors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Respond to inquiries from students (in person, phone, email and social media) regarding a variety of issues such as visa, arrival procedures, lodging, tuition and fee payment, banking, telecom, transportation etc.; refer to other areas as appropriate.
•Coordinate student related services and activities with Georgia Tech or Tianjin University as needed.
•Generate reports related to student activities and educational outcomes.

Career Services Coordinator
LOCATION: Shenzhen, China

JOB PURPOSE: Provide coaching and advising to students regarding career exploration and development of professional skills. Serve as a resource to employers interested in hiring students for internship positions and conduct employer outreach to increase the number of internship opportunities available.
IMPACT & INFLUENCE: This position will interact on a consistent basis with: students, faculty, alumni, employer representatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Present and coordinate workshops, trainings, seminars, orientations sessions, and outreach on career related subjects.
•Confer with students individually to assist them in career skill development in such areas as establishing career plans, writing resumes and cover letters, preparing for interviews, and networking.
•Develop strong relationship with employers to identify internship and employment opportunities.
•Maintain a database of GTSI internship placements and opportunities for students.
•Advise and assist students in identifying internship and other experiential learning opportunities as well as post-graduation career opportunities.
•Assist X-1 student visa holders to obtain approval for off-campus work.
•Advise students on requirements and expectations when registering INTN course.

Position 7
Public Relations Coordinator
LOCATION: Shenzhen, China

JOB PURPOSE: Working alongside the Public Relations Manager, the Public Relations Coordinator will implement GTSI’s communication strategies – from content creation to media outreach – to grow the Institute’s presence online, in the media and amongst our target audience.
IMPACT & INFLUENCE: This position will interact on a consistent basis with: faculty, staff, students, and media outlets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Increase GTSI’s content output by working with faculty and students to develop angles, pitches, interviews and multi-media storytelling.
•Administer GTSI’s social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, WeChat, Bilibili, etc
•Assist in the preparation of GTSI publications and marketing materials such as the Institute Newsletter, digital brochures, and press releases.
•Archive GTSI’s photos, videos, and other media contents in a timely manner.
•Strengthen GTSI’s media outreach by maintaining existing contacts and establishing new ones.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
•Educational requirement: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Journalism or Creative Media.
•Required experience: At least two years of experience with demonstrable records in content creation, social media management and/or digital marketing.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS: This job requires familiarity with Microsoft Office products (PPT and Excel) and a high level of comfort utilizing graphic design and video-editing tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, etc.). Able to communicate and work with multiple stakeholders to get the job done. Be responsible, details-oriented and able to implement plans with efficiency.

English Writer/Editor
LOCATION: Shenzhen, China

JOB PURPOSE:
Work as a member of institute communications team to create dynamic contents in English for print, video and online projects. Responsible for editing, proofing and fact checking electronic and print communications in English to ensure accuracy, consistency, grammar, punctuation and style.

This position will interact on a consistent basis with: faculty, staff, students.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Write contents in English that support the GTSI brand
•Edit and proof copy for all communications channels in English, including institute publications, reports, news content and press releases, executive communications, marketing materials, web and social media contents
•Research facts and document reliable sources
•Rewrite and rearrange content when necessary
•Advise faculty and staff regarding editorial issues in English communications
•Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
•Educational requirement: Bachelor's Degree in English or related field of study earned from a university in an English-speaking country is required if the applicant is a non-native English speaker. Bachelor’s Degree in English, communication, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required if the applicant is a native English speaker.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
This job requires strong written communication skills in English and high attention to detail. The ability to read Chinese and correct Chinese to English translation errors is a preferred skill. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Participate in the establishment, implementation and update of GTSI human resources policies and procedures.
